THE NEW NORMAL?

As the already-suffering music industry braces for impact with talks of further restrictions, new safety guidelines, and extended stay-at-home orders brewing on the horizon; all of the artists that have yet-to-be “established”, have been left in the dark to scratch their heads and ask themselves:

“So…what happens to us?”

Being that, it’s no secret that once things “open back up”, venues and promoters will be prioritizing the rescheduling of all the canceled tour dates of established artists/festivals (…and rightfully so); but still, things are looking quite grim for the underground artists that are able to survive this event, let alone want to get back to the stage in the coming year or two.

With this in mind, what do you think your favorite underground artists should do?
A.) Migrate to a completely digital presence (…at least for the time being)?
or
B.) Wait it out…for however long it takes for everyone to catch up.

Additional note: the industry, as it stands, wants artists to be touring (or at least playing as many shows as they can); otherwise, they will not be deemed viable for being apart of their already-established rosters…which makes this to be quite the conundrum for us and bands like us!
